Lima-Peru

Lima is thea capital of the Republic of Peru city. According to the 2007 census Peru, Lima had more than 7 million inhabitants; while the urban agglomeration had more than 8 million people, 30% of the Peruvian population, figures that make it the most populous city.


Location: 
Lima is located in the coastal desert of Peru, in the foothills of the western slope of the central Andes of Peru. Although initially founded on the valley of the Rimac river, now extends over large desert areas and even on other valleys.

The flag:
Historically, it is known as “Flag of the City of the Kings of Peru”


The coat:
The Lima Coat of Arms was granted by the Spanish Crown on December 7, 1537 by royal decree signed in Valladolid by Emperor Charles V and his mother Queen Joanna I of Castile, giving the city to bear the shield.


Lima economy:
The Peruvian capital is the main industrial and financial center of the country. It is one of the most important financial centers in Latin America. The main economic sectors that have high activity are manufacturing, trade, services and tourism.
